Aug 26 2007: Mat's First Day of School

Athena and I were impressed and excited to send Mat to Kindergarden here.  It looked like a great school with it's artwork, playgrounds, and courtyard style.  Then we went to the parent of kindergardeners orientation and were impressed with the teachers and the curriculum.  Then it was Mat's turn and he was excited too!  Here are a few pictures that are from the first day of school:

Mat took right to the whole idea of school.  Athena and/or I see his teacher every day when we pick him up and she has only ever had good things to say about him!

The curriculum and the teachers and the whole kindergarden in general has been far better than I remember getting to go to.  The class is set up to learn more, feel less stressed, gain more social skills, more freedom of choice and expression, and over-all positivity!

It feels good to be excited about our choice of Mat's school! He seems more than ready socially, math, reading, etc. to get under way and has proven that to be the case.
